Acquisition of SMD by CSR Times Electric
In 2015, Zhuzhou CSR Times Electric Company Limited (now CRRC TEG), a subsidiary of train maker China South Rail (now CRRC) bought a UK manufacturer of ocean engineering products, Specialist Machine Developments (SMD). Zhuzhou CSR Times Electric paid £130m for the firm based in Wallsend, Newcastle upon Tyne.

Geely Completes Volvo buyout from Ford
Geely, the Chinese car manufacturer, completed its acquisition of Volvo from the Ford Motor Company in Aug 2010. Geely Automotive paid $1.5bn for the ailing carmaker Volvo

Geely Buys Maker of London Cabs
In 2013, Zhejiang Geely Holding Group acquired the principal assets of Manganese Bronze Holdings, owner of the London Taxi Co. The price of the acquisition: £11.04m
